ARMORED CARS IN UAE

UAE is a fast growing market for armored vehicles. In recent years, the use of armored vehicles has increased in the Middle East, especially in the regions such as Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan, ensuring safe transportation for military, civilian and government personnel operating in unsafe areas.
As per a recent survey UAE was identified as a fast growing market for armored vehicles. The main reason is that the UAE is a very well located country geographically, you have access to Asia, Africa, Europe and the other Middle East countries, and you’re connected to the entire world.
Another reason is that there at least a dozen Armored Vehicle manufacturing companies in UAE and most of them use state of art manufacturing equipment, and CAD-CAM engineered systems to manufacture the cars. In order to keep the construction standards of these cars as high as possible, production methods have changed in recent years. Earlier cars were taken apart by a manufacturer and retro-fitted with its armory. Now, however, they're built from scratch to the chosen specification in separate production halls where mobile phones are prohibited and everything is kept hush-hush, away from prying eyes. After all, one cannot take any risks when lives of dignitaries are at stake.
Cars can still be retro-fitted with desired security features and you can have your car modified right here in the UAE.
Cheap labour and material cost is another good reason which has led to the growth armoured vehicle industry in UAE. Moreover the base vehicles available in UAE are according to GCC specifications, which mean improved cooling and AC over the European models.
In recent years, the use of armored vehicles has increased in the Middle east, especially in the regions such as Iraq and Afghanistan, ensuring safe transportation for military, civilian and government personnel operating in unsafe areas.
As a consequence of such a trend, there is an increased need for international transportation of armored vehicles. As opposed to transportation of civilian cars, moving armored vehicle from one country to another is a demanding task. It takes special expertise as armored vehicles are far more difficult to manage and are way more expensive than ordinary civilian cars. Such a job can be rather difficult and requires high expertise, especially when transporting armored vehicles to remote and volatile environments, like Afghanistan.
Following procedures need to be completed to export armored vehicles from UAE:
VCC (vehicle clearance certificate obtained from customs at the time of import)
VEC (Vehicle Export Certificate from RTA of the concerned Emirate)
NOC letter from the importing country's consulate in UAE.
NOC from Ministry of Foreign Affairs UAE
Approval from the DPS (only for Dubai)
